Local Jazz Singer Helen Welch Brings Beatles Tribute to Cain Park

British singer-songwriter Helen Welch has lived in Northeast Ohio for the past several years. During that time, she's slowly built a loyal following of jazz enthusiasts. On Friday, July 22, she brings her Beatles tribute to the Alma Theater.

She plans to perform popular Beatles tracks such as “Yesterday,” “Here There and Everywhere” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” She'll also put a jazzy spin on tunes like “Can’t Buy Me Love” “When I’m 64” “Norwegian Wood," “Ticket to Ride” and “Hard Day’s Night.” Pianist Joe Leaman, bassist Bryan Thomas and drummer Anthony Tadeo will join her for the performance. 

Tickets for the event, which begins at 7 p.m., are $18 advance and $21 day of show. Concert goers who are 21 and older can also attend a wine tasting in the Alma Courtyard from 5:30 to 6:45 that same night. Those tickets cost $10. Wine tasting tickets can be purchased at the Cain Park Ticket Office (216-371-3000) or online through Ticketmaster.

The Cain Park Wine Tasting Series is presented in partnership with the Wine Spot and the Stone Oven Bakery Café. A variety of picnic box dinners that can be ordered in advance of the event; full menus and ordering instructions can be found on the Cain Park website or by calling 216-371-3000.
