Update: The local metal band Ringworm has just released a music video for “Acquiesce,” the first single from the forthcoming album, Death Becomes My Voice.

Clevelander Don Tyler and Ringworm singer Human Furnace directed the video.

“The 'Acquiesce' video is a sequel to the 'Shades of Blue' video and actually a third act of an ongoing story that started with our very first video for 2005’s 'Justice Replaced by Revenge,'” says Human Furnace in a press release. “It’s another small piece of a larger story that we’re planning on telling in its entirety, soon, as its own stand-alone short film, this fall. We’ll have a longer directors cut of the video, shortly. It’ll let you in on more of the story told over the course of the three videos, complete with storyboard to scene side-by-side comparisons and a brief outline of the story.”

Additionally, the band has announced dates for the Death Becomes My Voice record release weekend. The group will perform on May 3 at Belcher's House of Rock in Mansfield, on May 4 at the Sanctuary in Detroit and on May 5 at the Phantasy Nite Club in Lakewood.

Original Post 3/5/2019: Earlier today, the veteran local metal/hardcore act Ringworm announced it’ll release its eighth studio album, Death Becomes My Voice, on May 3.

The album is currently available for pre-order. A special version of the album limited to 100 physical copies includes an album art flag designed by Human Furnace.
