The local avant-noise rock band Murderedman formed two years ago and has been frightening listeners ever since. One guy on Instagram aptly described the band’s sound by saying it’s “like if Bauhaus was on Touch and Go in 1989.” In its first year and a half, the band released a 7-inch, three cassettes and one full-length (Love in Danger). Toward the end of last year, it stopped playing live shows to focus on writing new material. The band recently announced it’ll play its first Cleveland show in months. It plays at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at Survival Kit Gallery with Watchword, the solo electronics project of Clevelander Jeff Hatfield (formerly of Fragments). The show coincides with the West 78th St. Studios’ monthly Third Friday event. Admission is free of charge, and the entire show will be recorded in digital audio with multi-camera video.
