Local Singer-Songwriter Liz Huff to Release Christmas Album

Concert Preview

A Cleveland Institute of Music graduate, local singer-songwriter Liz Huff will celebrate the release of her first solo CD with two shows this week. She’ll perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Brothers Lounge and then will play from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Beachland Ballroom as part of the club’s podcast, Super Duper Saturday Show.

Dubbed My Favorite Things: A Christmas Collection, the album commences with a somber rendition of “My Favorite Things” and then includes covers of seasonal favorites such as the traditional Irish song “Wexford Carol,” the Italian carol “Gesù Bambino” and the standard “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” The first release from Huff’s new label, Bossy Cat Music, and production company, Bossy Cat Productions, My Favorite Things features Jordan Cooper (music director and piano), Tim Keo (upright bass), Justin Hart (drums), Brian Mueller (electric guitar), Ariel Clayton Karas (violin), Linda White (flute, bass flute, piano) and Robert Gruca (classical guitar).

The album will be available at shows, via her website, and online through Bandcamp, CD Baby, and iTunes. For more information, please visit lizhuff.net or facebook.com/LizSingsChristmas.
