Meet the DJs

Four questions for Hot Mess

Hot Mess' Keith Swet (Keith West) and Vacate (Corey Faulkner) have been spinning separately for about a decade. But together the Columbus dubstep duo have made some big noise over the past year. — Michael Gallucci

What song do you never leave home without?

Doctor P's "Big Boss" (Vacate); J. Rabbit's "Energy Legs" (Keith)

What's your guaranteed party starter?

Tony Anthem & Axl Ender featuring Harry Shotta's "Different Shit" (Vacate); Skee-Lo's "I Wish" (Keith)

What's the craziest thing you've ever seen on the dance floor?

"Fucking would be the basic answer, but that oddly enough seems typical nowadays," says Vacate. "So I'll go with witnessing Keith getting pissed on by Greg Zucco from Digiraatii while Kill the Noise was rocking a packed show."

Describe a typical set on a good night.

A rowdy, pleased crowd and a sea of alcohol (Vacate); I would tell you if I could remember (Keith)

Hot Mess and Datsik spin at 11 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Dream Nightclub, 2325 Elm St. in the Flats. Admission: $15 and $20. Call 216-322-5926 or visit dream-cleveland.com.
