The Cribs are three British brothers who have a lot in common with the Arctic Monkeys. They like going out to clubs, drinking way too much, hitting on girls, and, more often than not, heading home alone (by the end of the night, they just can’t muster the enthusiasm to talk to girls, let alone bring them back to their flat). The Cribs’ breakthrough U.S. CD, Men’s Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever, is filled with hooky laments and drunken confessions.
Also on the bill: Jeffrey Lewis, whose latest album, 12 Crass Songs, re-imagines a dozen songs by super-political punk band Crass as sing-along folk ditties. -- Michael GallucciThe Cribs perform at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at the Grog Shop, 2785 Euclid Heights Boulevard in Cleveland Heights. Tickets are $8, available by calling 216-321-5588.
