The Beastie Boys just announced the title and sorta release date for their eighth album.
The record will be called Hot Sauce Committee and is due for a fall release.
In the meantime, the trio will be performing at most of the summer's big music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.
After a slew of deluxe reissues this year — the great Paul's Boutique and the really good Check Your Head are already out; the so-so Ill Communication reissue comes out on July 14 — it'll be nice to have something new from the boys.
Then again, if it's anything like their last album — 2004's crappy To the 5 Boroughs — we'll take deluxe reissues of Licensed to Ill and Hello Nasty instead. —Michael Gallucci
