Punk Rockers X_X to Tour in January Despite Singer's Dire Financial Situation

A Cleveland punk rock icon, John Morton of Electric Eels and X_X and The Styrenes fame recently became homeless after he left behind his New York home in the attempt to move to Canada. When he was not allowed to cross the border, he got stuck in Niagara Falls and set up a gofundme site to receive financial help. He’s raised a few thousand dollars and assures us the X_X tour slated to kick off on Jan. 8 in Louisville will take place as scheduled. The band, which formed in Cleveland in 1978, is touring in support of its new album, Albert Ayler’s Ghosts Live at the Yellow Ghetto. Local rockers OBNOX are on the tour as well. The official statement that Morton sent our way says plenty about his resiliency:

X_X shall go on to the end, we shall play in Tennessee, we shall play on the stage in Denton and Atlanta, we shall play with growing confidence and growing strength on stage and in the tour van, we shall defend our band, whatever the cost may be, we play in Mobile, we shall entertain on the stages in Texas and Florida, we shall play in the fields and in the streets, we shall play in the hills of Athens; we shall never surrender!

And additionally, anyone who would doubt that X_X shall make its appointed rounds, I say to you, “Fuck You!”
