The third-annual Bash On the Bay rolls out Thursday at the Put-in-Bay airport.
While other iterations have involved more country-ish acts Toby Keith and Rascal Flatts, this year's country music festival is headlined by Michigan's own Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker.
As about 17,000 hard-partying music lovers are expected to hit the island (nearly doubling the numbers from last year), the Ottawa County Sheriff’s office is adding extra
tight security to keep everyone safe during the event.
Anyone looking for a place to stay come Thursday will be sorely disappointed as lodging has been sold out for months. The Jet Express and Miller Ferry are scheduled to run all day and night to get people to the Ohio island and back to the mainland.
The concert lineup also features Davisson Brothers Band, Moonshine Bandits, David Shelby and probably a couple others.
Tickets are a mere $89 to see these folks perform, and are still available
online. The show starts at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 2:30 p.m.
