It's fitting that the three guys in Quanta prefer single-name monikers. The songs on their debut album, Have Moved You, also keep things relatively simple. The local band's mix of California funk, heartland pop, and the occasional electronic fart relies on bottom-heavy rhythms coupled with repeated lyrics and riffs. It's organic-sounding fluff that's not too proud to drift into jam-band territory from time to time. It's also the sorta stuff made to be played onstage, where singer and guitarist Rybo shifts from alt-rock mumble to cock-rock swagger.
