This EP from veteran local singer-songwriter Chris Hatton starts out with the snarling "Feel It," a bit of funky stuff anchored by a beefy guitar riff. Recorded at the Analog Beard Recording Facility in Seven Hills, the album features the contributions of the Italian Sound Machine, Hatton's new band. It's a great pairing (the loopy instrumental "Delivering the Finisher" shows how much fun these guys are having). Elsewhere, "Combine with You" benefits from an initial burst of guitars before settling into a lazy, hazy groove. "I don't know where we're going but I know I'm going to be with you," Hatton sings defiantly over nasty guitars.
