- The Stooges: Better late than never
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the list of artists who'll be inducting the class of '10 into its venue on March 15.
And it's the kind of list we expect from the Rock Hall: safe, kinda blah, but ultimately the right choices for a backslapping event like this.
Phish phrontman Trey Anastasio will induct prog-rock-pioneers-turned-superslick-pop-machine Genesis.
Former Fugee and Haiti-relief posterdude Wyclef Jean will induct reggae icon Jimmy Cliff.
The Bee Gees' Barry and Robin Gibb will induct fellow '70s pop goldmakers Abba.
Billie Joe Armstrong, from sorta new-school punk group Green Day, will induct way old-school punk group the Stooges.
After last year's kick-ass induction in Cleveland (holla!), this year's ceremony will take place next month in New York (again) and will air live on Fuse TV. —Michael Gallucci (follow me on Twitter @mgallucci)
