Rock Hall Announces Lineup for Summer in the City Concert Series

Each summer, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame hosts a variety of indie and alternative rock acts on its outdoor plaza. The Rock Hall has just announced the lineup for this year's Summer in the City concert series, and some of the city's "most buzzed about" local acts will perform.

The schedule includes Tropidelic/Pasadena (June 29), Cities and Coasts/Teddy Boys/These Knees (July 6), Uno Lady/Goldmines (July 13), Umojah Nation/Jah Messengers (July 27), New Planet Trampoline/Heavenly Queen (Aug. 3), Whiskey Daredevils/Texas Plant (Aug. 10) and Honeybucket/Gage Brothers (Aug. 17). The series concludes on Aug. 24 with a showcase of bands that played at this year's Lottery League, the festival that features local musicians who were randomly drafted to form new bands.

The concerts all take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and prior to each concert, the Rock Hall will host a Q&A with the acts slated to play. The concerts are free — as a bonus, local residents and college students can purchase admission to the Rock Hall for a mere $5.
