I've been on a massive Rush kick this week, ever since watching that excellent documentary on the band. (Even if you don't like their music, there's no way you can hate the guys in the band after seeing this movie.)
So imagine my thrill when I heard that a new edition of Guitar Hero is coming in September based on Rush's 1976 mind-blowing epic 2112. Specifically, the 20-minute, seven-song suite that opens the album is the focus of the game.
I can't say it better than the official announcement, so here it is:
For the first time ever, Guitar Hero fans will embark on an epic voyage playing as eight Guitar Hero characters that transform into rock warriors who must join together to use their unique, game-changing powers to help the Demi-God of Rock take down “The Beast” to save rock.
Sounds freakin' awesome doesn't it?
Now if we can only get Neil Peart's awesome drum tracks from "Limelight" or "Tom Sawyer" in there somehow, we're all set. —Michael Gallucci
