Schedule Announced for Wingenstock 7

Concert Announcement

Way the heck back in 1970, Canal Corners Farm & Market owner Dave Wingenfeld began presenting rock concerts in his parents’ backyard. He called the shows Wingenstock. This summer, Wingenfeld is back to playing the role of local concert promoter with Wingenstock 7, a concert series he hosts in his Big, Red Barn.

Three Cleveland musicians — Mike Kearns, Jim Wilson and Bill Hoffman [pictured] — kick off the summer series on May 30 with a special tribute to the Beatles. They’ll perform the British band’s White Album in its entirety. Kearns studied composition and classical guitar at Baldwin-Wallace with Dr. Loris O. Chobanian Wilson plays with various classic rock bands and Hoffman is a Cleveland area director, producer and writer who’s a co-founder of the Lantern Theatre. Concerts will begin at 7 p.m., but the farm picnic grounds will open at 5 p.m. and you're encouraged to bring food, beverage and dine al fresco in the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley. Admission is $10. Parking is free. For reservations call 216-624-3916. To find out more go to facebook.com/wingenstock. Canal Corners Farm & Market is located at 7243 Canal Rd. in Valley View.
