On December 30, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings took the stage at the Beachland Ballroom, making the packed audience shake its collective tail feather -- hard. After opening the set with a brief tribute to fallen funk legend James Brown, the New York outfit busted a hard funk groove reminiscent of the JBs, Brown's legendary backing group.
