Tomorrow, Akron native
Dan Auerbach will make his first appearance as a solo artist on Austin City Limits, the longest-running music television show in history.
The frontman of the rock duo the Black Keys, Auerbach, who now lives in Nashville, will perform music from his new solo album,
Waiting on a Song.
"You can't not watch this show without feeling good afterwards," says ACL executive producer Terry Lickona in a press release announcing Auerbach's appearance. "Dan Auerbach has five times more creative energy than anyone with half his credits."
Auerbach has performed on the program twice with the Black Keys but never as a solo artist.
Austin City Limits airs weekly on PBS stations nationwide (check local listings
here), and full episodes will made available online for a limited time at
pbs.org/austincitylimits immediately following the initial broadcast.
PBS's broadcast coincides with the kick off of Auerbach's 20-date Easy Eye Sound Revue Tour that comes to the
Agora on March 31.
