Born in Chewelah, Washington powerhouse singer Allen Stone started singing at his father’s church when he was just a kid. He moved to Spokane and then Seattle as he launched a recording career in 2010, self-releasing his first album, Last to Speak, and focusing on playing as many shows as possible.
For his latest album, Radius, he went Sweden to write with producer Magnus Tingsek, and they immediately cranked out the first two songs, the slow jam “Circle” and the funk-driven “Fake Future.”
Now, following a slew of summer festival sets, Stone has announced the dates of his new tour, An Intimate Night with Allen Stone: My Favorite Songs, Favorite Stories.
"I absolutely believe that if you're going to stand at a microphone and say something, you need to recognize that as a privilege," he says in a press release. "You've got to be incredibly careful about it, and really put all your heart into the message that you're sending out into the world."
The tour comes to Kent Stage on Oct. 8. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
