At 66, Jones himself seems anything but tired. Still touring, and still in possession of that bombastic baritone (as well as the formidable chest hair, tight pants, and hip swivel) that gets those female juices flowing, Sir Sex Bomb, with a 10-piece band, has been treating audiences to ample sets that touch on all phases of his curious career: Swingin' '60s British Invasion pop, '70s Vegas lounge cheese, his strange-yet-successful early '80s foray into country music (who could forget the cover of Darlin', on which he looks like Indiana Jones relaxing in a Wild West-themed porno flick), and his occasional excursions onto the dance floor, as with his latest hit, "Stoned in Love," an electro-house collaboration with Britain's Chicane.
Jones' tourmate, legendary soul-blues- jazz diva Etta James, might not elicit the same degree of panty-tossing, but she certainly knows how to turn up the heat with her potent, passionate pipes and sassy stage demeanor.
