When the San Francisco-based band Train played Blossom two years ago, it delivered a show that had broad appeal; the audience included children, adults and elderly folks. And the band catered to its entire fanbase with the performance too.

Square-jawed singer Pat Monahan, who now looks a bit like a younger Huey Lewis, nimbly pranced across the stage in his skinny jeans and sneakers as he leaned into the first row to take selfies with fans and used his own camera to scan the crowd and post a clip to his Twitter account.

Train returns to town on Monday, Dec. 5 to play the Q104 Holiday Show at Playhouse Square’s State Theatre. Andy Grammer and Blue October share the bill.

Tickets range from $39.50 to $99.50 and are now on sale. Q104 listeners will have a chance to win tickets as well as exclusive Meet & Greets with Train and Andy Grammer.
