U2 to Stream Obscenely Expensive Show on YouTube

U2 will stream their entire Sunday concert from Pasadena's Rose Bowl on YouTube live, as it happens.

That's good news for Clevelanders who were passed up on the band's current 360 Tour.

The bad news is that the show doesn't start till 10:30 p.m. (that's 7:30 p.m. Pasadena time, but still ...). And since U2 concerts can be two-plus-hour marathon affairs, it could be past 2 a.m. till you're in bed.

We're wondering how the band's massive stage — basically a ginormous spider-like thing that digs into the venue and gives almost all concertgoers a pretty good view of the stage — will play on 17-inch computer screens.

Sunday's Rose Bowl concert is the penultimate one the group will play this year. It's sold out. So this is pretty much your last chance to see U2 in 2009, even if it is via the same place you get your porn.

And just in case you don't feel like watching the show unspool live, the concert will replay two more times on both YouTube and U2's website. —Michael Gallucci
