Beginning on March 11,
Visible Voice Books in Tremont will launch a new program dubbed Sunday Beat. If you purchase a
New York Times at the store, you’ll receive a free cup of coffee or tea and a Jim Alesci’s Place pastry.
Live bands will perform in the afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30.
“We’re launching a series of free Sunday afternoon jazz, Americana, samba and bossa nova performances,” says store owner Dave Ferrante in a press release announcing the weekly event. “You can enjoy brunch at any one of a number of nearby eateries before heading up to our second floor bookstore for some feel-good world music.”
Anyone who shows a Sunday receipt from Music Box, Prosperity Social Club or any of the Tremont restaurants that offer brunch can enter a same-day drawing for a chance to win a $30 Visible Voice gift certificate and a $25 Visible Voice Loyalty Card. They’ll also receive 10 percent off any Visible Voice book purchase.
Acts scheduled to perform include Luca Mundaca (March 11), Hamker/DeReburtis Duo (March 18), Moises Borges (March 25) and Hamker/DeReburtis Duo (April 8).
Visible Voice Books is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
