C-Notes fave Andrew WK recently posted something on The Guardian's music blog about the inspiration for his song "My Destiny." It has to do with a high-school crush, a restraining order and Cleveland.
The girl actually took out a juvenile restraining order (really? Who knew there was such a thing?) against Andrew, who stayed far, far away from her.
Fast-forward to years later and Andrew WK is a semi-famous rock star, on the road generating buzz. During a tour stop in Cleveland, rumors begin to swirl that the girl would be at the show (she moved to Cleveland to go to art school here).
Long story short: The girl stops by to see Andrew, he passes out from the anxiety and never sees her again.
