Wilbert’s Food & Music to Host Benefit Concert for Ebola Victims

Root Bottle’s lead singer Rodney Diggs was born in Liberia so the current Ebola crisis has him particularly worried. To raise money for efforts to combat the spread of Ebola in Liberia, his band (pictured) along with locals Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band and Mixed Elements will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, at Wilbert’s Food & Music. Diggs tells us that the proceeds will specifically go towards the United Methodist Church outreach program called Farmer to Farmer. He also intends to give some of the proceeds to a current project undertaken by the Liberian Association of Cleveland to send a shipping container to Liberia. Diggs still has family back home and has kept in touch with them throughout the crisis. A donation of $6 ADV, $8 DOS is requested.
