Winter Jam 2007

Winter Jam 2007 With Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, NewSong, Hawk Nelson, Sanctus Real, Britt Nicole, guest speaker Tony Nolan, and comedian John "The President" Morgan. Saturday, January 27, at the Wolstein Center
Celebrating its 14th season, Winter Jam is your shot to see the best Christian musicians without breaking the bank. The ringleader of Winter Jam 2007 is Steven Curtis Chapman -- not the dude who assassinated Lennon (that's Mark David Chapman), but a true legend of the contemporary Christian singer-songwriter genre.

Chapman's orchestral-infused pop-rock sound has made him a five-time Grammy winner, and he has more Gospel Music Association awards sitting on his shelf than any of his peers. Chapman is busy promoting Now & Then, a disc of his greatest hits paired with his latest studio release, All Things New. So expect this material to play a large role in Chapman's set, as well as tunes from a disc due out later this year. What's more, Chapman's current backing band features his two sons. "Words can't express how excited I am about the guys I'll have backing me up on Winter Jam," he says. "They are two of my favorite musicians in the world."

Fellow Christian heavyweight Jeremy Camp co-headlines Winter Jam, which also features appearances by Hawk Nelson, Sanctus Real, and NewSong. So prepare to be uplifted, but leave your "Jesusland" T-shirt and Buddy Christ dolls at home.
