You Should Check Out the Music Fest in Tremont on Saturday

If you don't have anything to do on Saturday, you should go the Lot music festival happening in the lot next to the South Side in Tremont. Even if you do have something to do, you should change your plans and go anyway.

Lots of cool local bands will be performing at the day-long fest, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Artists scheduled to play include the Hot Rails, Red Giant, Belmez, Shoe, the Exploding Lies, Jimmy Maguire, the Neil Chastain Trio, and Chad Hoffman.

Headliners are This Is a Shakedown.

That's a lot of music.

Admission to the fest is $10 ($8 in advance), and the South Side will provide the food and drinks, if you feel like buying some (and you probably will, since you're gonna be there all day listening to music. You are gonna be there all day, right?).

There aren't too many summer days left — there are even fewer weekend summer days. We can't think of a better way to spend this one. —Michael Gallucci
