A Contradiction Here?

The official philosophy of the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) is that our laws ought to respect human life "from conception until natural death." To that end the organization promotes legislation that would extend the same legal protection we enjoy to our nation's unborn sons and daughters. Such a posture is eminently just, of course, so I don't have a problem with it. But the NRLC has been silent regarding the tens of thousands of unnatural deaths among born sons and daughters that have occurred in Iraq for nearly four years, thanks to our "pro-life" president. NRLC leaders have been in bed with President Bush for years who, in turn, continues to whisper sweet nothings in their ears, such as: "I respect the life of the child waiting to be born". Until the leaders in the supposedly pro-life NRLC excoriate Bush over the needless killing of sons and daughters already born--Iraqi and U.S.--the NRLC leaders will continue to stain the organization's credibility and integrity. Shame on them. Louis H. Pumphrey Shaker Heights
