After a Five-Year Run, NEOCycle Says Farewell
Scott Sandberg
For the past five years, NEOCycle has been a staple cycling event that has taken place in the fall at Edgewater Park. The event featured demonstrations and races along with a music festival.

Earlier today, organizers at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced they’re pulling the plug on the event.

“We're excited to have been a small part of the growth of the cycling community and are excited to see where Cleveland is headed with continued expansion of cycling routes and emphasis on outdoor active lifestyle events,” reads the mass email that also promises other “large-scale sporting events” are in the works.

The letter closes with a heartfelt thank you: “We've had an amazing run and want to leave you with the opportunity to relive some highlights of the past five years. Thank you, our valued cyclists, community partners and fans, for making the past five years so exceptionally awesome.”
