You have "hit" only a tip of the ice berg ["
Amish Girls Gone Wild," March 14]. Attend a party during the summer in the forest. When the cops arrive kids are running everywhere, even up trees.
The elders and parents dont approve, yet they do nothing. If these kids were not Amish they would all be locked up.
One problem is they have nothing to do on the weekends, no where to meet potential mates. So let's party. At least cell phones have kept them away from town, as news spreads fast via cell as to the location of local forest parties. I wonder how much beer is sold in Middlefield on a weekend? I wonder how many taxi drivers here make a living delivering beer on the weekends?
Just wondering why their underaged children are treated with kids gloves when it comes to drinking?
