An Exclusive Interview With Timofey Mozgov's Favorite Daytime Bartender at the Brew Garden

The principles involved in the local TV commercial heard 'round the internet probably couldn't have predicted what would happen after Timofey Mozgov donned a backward basketball jersey a month or so back. Undoubtedly, his performance had talent agencies banging down his door and Nike reconsidering its relationships with LeBron and Kyrie Irving.

For the Brew Garden itself, who would have known that some perceptive soul video taping the commercial off the tube and uploading it to YouTube would have ESPN calling the bar and restaurant?

So says Elizabeth, otherwise known as Timofey Mozgov's favorite daytime bartender. She's the tall beautiful blonde who co-starred with Mozgov in the second of what were three different commercials filmed in one day. (Yes, basketball fans, there's a third that hasn't hit the airwaves yet.)

"He was so nice. I know you want something juicy, but he was just so nice," Elizabeth said yesterday during a late afternoon rush. "I'd never met him before, but I've worked for the owner here since I was 19, so he asked me to do it. I've been bartending for a long time. We filmed it in our party room at the beginning of March. I hadn't seen it before it was on TV. People were calling here, we didn't know the drama would happen."

The shoot, if you can believe it, took hours and multiple takes. 

"The comments online weren't always nice, the mean things people had to say, insulting me, but they won't come here and say it to my face, or making fun of him because he doesn't speak English very well," she said. "I mean, of course not, he's Russian. He was so nice though. And he was so apologetic for not being able to say some of the words right."

It has been the talk of the bar, however, which you can believe.

"Oh, everyone is talking about it, everyone that comes in here," she said. "But we had no idea, no idea that it would be like this. The Bleacher Report wrote a really funny article about it, saying me and him should run away together like Bonnie and Clyde. These are the sorts of commercials that work. Look at the Norton Furniture guy."
