The Cavs etched one hell of a tale into the arc of history this week, and with that comes a fresh outlook on life here in Cleveland. The city is buzzing with joy these past 36 hours, and showing no signs of easing up on the happiness.
With that change in our gaze comes a big move over on Lakeside Avenue: Brokaw ad agency has retired its long-running and somewhat controversial Browns QB jersey.
The Tim Couch jersey eventually carried the names of all 24 starting quarterbacks since 1999. It was a nice tongue-in-cheek gag that loomed over Sunday afternoon processions, but it's extremely gratifying to see it shelved.
To paraphrase LeBron James: Cleveland, this is for us.
And thanks to Brokaw for knowing this town as well as they always have.
