California Republican Delegates Super Psyched About Kalahari Water Slides

Just a little update, here, on the fates of California's RNC delegates. One month ago, their reps mentioned that they weren't exactly pleased about being exiled to Kalahari Resort in Sandusky for the duration of the convention next month. 

As of today, though, the Republicans' tune has changed. Chairwoman Cynthia Bryant said she was "110 percent fine" with the Sandusky assignment for her state's 600-plus delegates. 

"We're just planning on making the best of it," she told cleveland.com. "I think that Kalahari is going to work perfectly for us. I think our delegates will have fun, and [their experience] will give them something to talk about for years to come."

Though the hour-plus commute time is a pain in the ass, Cleveland's jam-packed downtown hotel landscape made finding a home base close to the action for 600 delegates from a left-leaning state a challenge. 

Bryant said that her group will certainly spend time in Cleveland, but on some nights they'll book it back to Kalahari to give the delegates some options (aka, more time on the water slides). They also intend to hit up the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, and maybe even Cedar Point. 

Who needs a convention when you've got America's Roller Coast right around the corner?
