A small projector fire Friday night in one of the two upstairs theaters at Capitol Theatre caused minor damage.
"We are down one auditorium while that all gets assessed. I don't know when it will be back up yet until all of the techs get things checked out," said Dave Huffman of Cleveland Cinemas.
It happened during the late showing of
Tully and was noticed after the sole patron watching the movie reported to the theater's manager that the movie's sound wasn't working. After attempting to reboot the film on the computer, they then noticed the projector fire and called 911, the patron told Scene.
"It wasn't a big deal, no one was hurt," he said "They called out four fire crews but it was a small fire."
We'll update you if and when we hear more.
