Cavs Lose Finals -- If You're to Believe a Video Game

This just in – the Cavs lose the NBA finals in the sixth game! At least that’s the way EA Sports – the venerable video game company behind the gazillion-dollar-making Madden series – sees it. It ran its NBA Live 07 game through simulator mode the other day, and the results aren’t good for Cleveland fans. If you’re to believe a bunch of video game nerds, the Cavs lose tomorrow night’s game 94-87. LeBron leads the team with 22 points, but the Spurs’ Tim Duncan nets 26. San Antonio also takes game two, 99-98 -- with LeBron pretty much responsible for every fourth-quarter shot. The Cavs rally in game three, with LeBron’s triple double (36 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists) leading the charge. But the team is handed a crushing defeat in game four, falling 102-89. The Cavs squeak out a 93-91 victory in game five (LeBron’s only one rebound shy of another triple double), but the Spurs snag game six, 96-89. Duncan once again dominates the court, securing the MVP title for the fourth time. The real thing tips off tomorrow night at 9 p.m. We’ll be at the Q, catching the game on the big-ass screen at the free Watch Party, which starts at 7:30 p.m. We’ll see then how much that damn Xbox 360 knows. --Michael Gallucci
