Children enjoy the bubble demonstrations on Founders' Day.
Cleveland is turning 222 and University Circle is throwing a massive party to celebrate the city's milestone birthday, and all are welcome to attend for the incredible price of totally free.

The event takes place on Friday, July 20, at The Wade Oval and will offer cake, ice cream, bounce houses, lawn games, Euclid Beach Boys rocket ship car rides, solar car racing for the littlest Clevelanders and so much more. In addition to the traditional birthday fare, this year's Founders' Day celebration welcomes new activities courtesy of the Cleveland History Center.

Hundreds of people are anticipated to attend this event, so be sure to snag the free food before it's gone (or melts). The event runs from noon to 2 p.m. at the Wade Oval - 10820 E. Blvd.

For something a little more educational, the Cleveland Public Library, is hosting their own Founders' Day event on Saturday, July 21. Free Cleveland heritage trolley tours will be available highlighting Cleveland's historic roots and immigration history, as well as view featured historic photographs from the library's collection. A celebration with food and music will take place at the Eastman Reading Garden following the completion of the tour, and you can register for the tour by clicking here.

The Cleveland Public Library is located at 325 Superior Ave.
