Center Street Swing Bridge in Flats Closed Indefinitely

Center Street Swing Bridge in Flats Closed Indefinitely
Foursquare
The City of Cleveland announced yesterday that the Center Street swing bridge in the Flats will be closed indefinitely.

While repair and maintenance work gets underway drivers heading west will be detoured south on Columbus and up Franklin to West 25th. It'll be just the opposite for anyone heading east.

The bridge, originally constructed in 1901, was closed for a year back in 2010 for major repairs coming in at about $2.6 million. Hopefully this unscheduled closure doesn't last nearly as long.
