Cigarette Thief Busted by Footprints in Snow

Yay, we get to share our favorite winter crime trope with you again!

While one Sandusky woman was getting ready for work, some brainiac thief stole two packs of Marlboro Mint 100s off her back porch. Officers arrived and began pursuing what they termed "strange footprints" leading from the scene.

Police were welcomed into the house to which the footprints led, where they met four less-than-savvy teenagers. Officers examined the boys' shoes and soon found a match. Along the way, a 14-year-old kid started spouting lies about whose shoes they were. He was charged with obstructing official business.

But a 17-year-old kid was busted for the theft once officers matched his shoes. They were both hauled off to the juvenile detention center.
