Cleveland Author and Filmmaker to Present a Staged Reading of His First Novella

Tonight at 8 at the Euclid Tavern, local author and filmmaker Brendan Whitt will produce a staged reading of his first novella A Summer in Harlem.

A three-piece jazz ensemble led by saxophonist Brittany Atterberry will perform; readings will be by poet and local activist D.L. Ware, actor Khalim Hill, actress Dayshawnda Ash, and poet and journalist Timothy Cox.

The show will end with a performance by Atterberry's trio, followed by a jazz and blues inspired hip-hop set by DJ Nuera. Admission is free.
