Now that we've suffered through opening day, it seemed prudent to mention that there are still reasons to head down to the ballpark this year. If Ubaldo Jimenez isn’t enough to get you there, maybe these promotions are:

This year, with few exceptions, the dollar dog nights are on every Friday home game. Even though this year Progressive Field has reduced concession prices — and good on them for coming to their senses — the dollar dog remains the ultimate bang for your (literal) buck.

They’re neither as classy nor as sturdy as the $80 jerseys you can buy in the team shop, but the lightweight fabric is ideal for summer days and those days when you forgot to do laundry.
