There's a brand new baby at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. This time the precious bundle is a black howler monkey, born to parents Maxine and Rocco at the zoo Jan. 16.

The infant, who is reportedly healthy and thriving, is set to be on display in the zoo's Primate, Cat and Aquatic building, as newborns like to cling to their mother's in the first couple months of life.

Howler monkeys, whose voices can carry up to two miles away, hail from South America and tend not to grow larger than 16 pounds. At this time, the new howler monkey is nameless and a public naming contest, which the zoo is fond of doing for its newborns, has yet to be announced.

Find out more about the animal right here.
