Cleveland Pickle (850 Euclid Ave., 216-575-1111) chef and owner Josh Kabat says that the second location for his popular gourmet sub shop, in the former home of Westside Yoga Studio (17100 Detroit Ave.) in Lakewood, should be up and running during the first week of December.

"We're excited to announce our Lakewood location will be opening the week of December 2nd," he says. "We think the Cleveland Pickle concept will be a great fit for the neighborhood and we can't wait to be more accessible to a larger audience considering this particular space is much easier to get to than our downtown location."

At 1,600 square feet, the shop is more than twice the size of the downtown spot, providing Kabat with commissary space that will helpful when executing future expansion plans.

"This is a brand that we want to continue to develop and have five, six or seven locations hopefully," Kabat says.

Kabat and his wife Kiaran opened the original Pickle a year and a half ago near the corner of Euclid and E. 9th and has been "on a roll" ever since.

In preparation for the opening, Kabat is holding a job fair today, November 13, and tomorrow, November 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lakewood shop.

"Get ready to join the Pickle Posse!" Kabat adds.
