Want to get to know more about Graham Veysey, the congressional candidate we wrote about this week who is challenging incumbents Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur in the Democratic primary for the 9th district congressional seat?
Veysey, a 29-year-old entrepreneur from Ohio City, is hosting an event tomorrow in Toledo that combines traditional in-person hand-shaking and contemporary social media: a Twitter Town Hall meeting. It kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at Homeslice Pizza at 28 S. Saint Clair St. in Toledo. Anyone in the vicinity is invited to come down and engage Veysey in discussion over a slice of pizza. Anyone who can't make it can use hashtag #VZ4Congress to jump into the conversation. Veysey says this is the first such event in an Ohio campaign, and we're not aware of any previous one.
Sats Veysey,
My opponents may have more special interest support and cash than I do, but I'm going to work harder and smarter to reach North Coast voters. I'm hoping to shake every voter's hand in the next five weeks, but if I can't do that we're hoping to engage the North Coast in creative ways.— Anastasia Pantsios
