Do you remember those classic kindergarten mating rituals, the kick-to-the-shins, the gentle push, the finger-in-the-eye that sent the not-so-subtle message you were interested? One Cleveland man obviously had not graduated into higher forms of social intercourse when he pulled his date’s ponytail at a bar this January. Unfortunately, the thug was packing, and an innocent bystander was killed in the subsequent melee.
According to the Plain Dealer, 22-year old Cortez Williamson was found guilty Monday for the murder of 19-year old Dexter McWhorter.
About 2 a.m. on Jan. 27, Thomas said Williamson, a 6 foot, 6 inch man, pulled the pony tail hair extension off his 5-1 female date at Joe D's Third World Lounge at Miles Avenue and East 135th Street. A fight ensued, and several people came to her aid. McWhorter was near them as a bystander.
Williamson was also convicted of discharging a firearm, having a weapon while under disability, carrying a concealed weapon, and tampering with evidence.
