County Executive Candidates Will Debate at Noon Today

Armond Budish (D) and Jack Schron (R), the candidates for Cuyahoga County Executive, will debate each other at the Renaissance Ballroom today at noon.

Admission costs $25 for City Club members and $25 for non-members. You can also tune in via WVIZ and WCPN.

Budish, former Ohio House speaker, has long worn the mantle of the favorite in this race. In campaign appearances across the county, he lauded Ed FitzGerald's work promised more party-line governance. The Plain Dealer's endorsement of Schron, however, kept things interesting last week.

We're not in the archaic habit here of making newspaper endorsements (see below for a tangential exception), but you can check out the audio from the PD's interview with these two upstanding gentlemen here

Residents polled in the week leading up to today's debate overwhelmingly lamented the early dissolution of Tanner Fischbach's campaign. Scene couldn't help but concur.
