We have a lot of questions for Dan Gilbert, but right now our main concern is why he joined the Chicago Cubs' visit to the White House today.
During a photo op/press conference-type event typical for championship-winning teams, the 2016 Cubs found JACK Entertainment CEO and Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert in their midst. President Donald Trump even called out for him by name amid a flurry of shutter snaps.
"Where's Dan? Where's Dan Gilbert?" Trump asked multiple times before pointing at the Detroit-based billionaire and beckoning him closer. "Do you want a good baseball player to play basketball?" he said, gesturing to the team that beat your friends and mine, the Cleveland Indians, in a hard-fought seven-game series last fall.
Trump then described the Cavs' season as "good ... not great."
