Don't Worry Cavs Fans, LeBron Will Be On Miami Heat in NBA Jam

  • Boomshockafuckkkkkkkkkkk

A couple of months back, as this whole free agent mess started to tilt into first gear, I asked Chris Littmann over at First Cuts whether the new NBA Jam game that will be released later this year would reflect updated NBA rosters. My main concern: I didn't want LeBron on the Cavs in the game if LeBron wasn't on the Cavs. It seems logical that if LeBron signed with another team that EA would update as such, but I had no idea how far down the development path they were or how hard moving a player to another team would be.

Well, now we have our answer. The Miami Traitors will have LeBron and Bosh and probably the most ridiculous video game trio ever to hit a virtual NBA Jam floor. Great.

And the Cavs? Well, who knows what the roster is going to look like. Jamison, Mo, and Varejao?

Here's Littmann talking to EA about updated rosters:

1. Between the NBA draft, free agency and trades, there has been a lot of movement regarding rosters. EA ran fan voting for NBA Jam rosters, but a lot of that obviously doesn't apply any more. How will that fan voting factor into all of these new rosters going forward? Will we see free agency reflected? Will we see rookies?

Answer: Getting the fans to help us determine the NBA JAM rosters was very important to us because without all of the support of JAM fans out there, our game would’ve probably never seen the light of day. So we are dedicated to staying as true to the results of the fan votes as we possibly can. That being said, obviously there have been some major moves being made and we owe it to the fans to have our rosters as up to date as possible before the game goes out the door. The NBA JAM rosters will most definitely include the recent free agency moves that have been made. As far as commenting on the inclusion of any rookies, we’re going to leave that as a surprise for the fans that pick up our game on October 5th.
