If you have more shopping to do, consider sandwiching it between happy hours during tonight’s Ohio City Cash Mob. Not only that, the owners of the still-a-secret local business chosen to be mobbed is offering a 10 percent discount to anyone bringing along a can of food to donate.
Cashmobbers will meet at the Market Garden Brewery at 5:45 for pre-shopping lubrication (look for Andrew in the “brown beast” hat), then will gather in front of the brewery at 6:30 for the short walk to a local store for shopping. The post-mob happy hour will be at ABC Tavern. The only requirement is that everyone spend $20 in the store.
If you somehow don’t know what a Cash Mob is by now, it’s a way to support small businesses thought up right here in Cleveland, and yes, social media is the main conduit for mob organization. In a few short months, the concept has spread faster than Santa’s Reindeer can fly and Cash Mobs are now happening all over the world.
