Early Ballots Counted, Frank Jackson Already in Commanding Lead for Cleveland Mayor

Incumbent Mayor Frank Jackson has taken a commanding lead in the Cleveland Mayoral primary elections, securing nearly 45 percent of the total vote after early ballots have been counted.

Council challengers Zack Reed (18.9%) and Jeff Johnson (16.7%) will be vying for second place all night. Only restaurateur Brandon Chrostowski, with about 10 percent of the early votes, stands a chance of making up enough ground to compete for the number-two spot.

Right now, as anticipated, it looks like Jackson-Reed of Jackson-Johnson.
