Fuckin' A Right, Ohio

After nearly passing out from straining my wit for that headline, it's time to announce the Big News: Ohio residents curse more than people in any other state.

The Marchex Institute conducted a study that mined data from more than 600,000 calls placed by consumers to businesses. The cards were already stacked against us (for us?), it would appear.

I mean, remember that time just a few minutes ago when you cursed out yet another cable service rep on the phone, you dirty Ohioan? Well, your choice verbiage has actually transmogrified into some fine data points. You're a freakin' scientist, man!

Per the Institute, Ohioans curse in one out of every 150 phone conversations. When the conversation involves subjects like current non-savior Brandon Weeden, former FBI darling Ed FitzGerald, or the deliciousness of the Parmageddon (OM NOM NOM), the rate jumps to a hearty 98 percent.

Maryland, New Jersey, Louisiana and Illinois rounded out the top five, while Washington, Massachusetts, Arizona, Texas and Virginia held down the more sugary bottom five (LAME!)
