Gas Odor Being Investigated in Downtown Cleveland

For the second time in two months, fire crews are downtown in Cleveland because there's a strong smell of gas in the air.

St. Clair is reportedly shut down near W. 9th as the investigation into the mysterious odor continues.

NewsNet5 reports:

The Cleveland Fire Department has received numerous calls Friday morning about a strange gas odor downtown, and crews have investigated several downtown buildings, but have not determined a cause of the odor.

No buildings have been evacuated, according to the Cleveland Fire Department.

Fire trucks blocked off streets in the Warehouse District around 11:30 a.m., but did not discover a gas leak or a fire.
